I don't know where Jünger got this idea of "an Anglo-Saxon axiom about equality", but one thing comes to mind.

The A-S concept of "innocent until proven guilty" is diametrically opposed to the European idea that the accused is guilty until proven innocent. The A-S legal system is accusational, the European inquisitional. Thus the A-S system is more amiable to the Anarch
